Wolf Jr. Players present "Seussical the Musical"

From Thursday, May 2 to Saturday, May 4, middle school Wolf Jr. Players performed “Seussical the Musical,” one of the most performed shows in America!
The show is narrated by the Cat in the Hat (Eva Foster ‘30) and tells the story of Horton (Ethan Devarapalli ‘28), an elephant who discovers a speck of dust that is home to the Whos. Horton is challenged with protecting the world of Whos and guarding an abandoned egg. The show reminds us of the power of friendship, loyalty, and community.

“‘Seussical’ is a journey through imagination, and it requires a lot of the cast and the audience,” explains Jenn Jordan, middle school theater director. “The complexity and wildness of the stories being so spectacular, the cast must make the audience believe and want to journey along.”

Because “Seussical” is sung through and almost all the dialogue is in song, every element of the show had to be perfectly timed.

“I loved watching the cast improve in their dramatic pacing and their ability to act while singing and dancing,” smiles Jordan.

Way to go, “Seussical” cast!
