Amatz wins the 2023-2024 house cup

On Friday, May 10 and Monday, May 13, middle school students celebrated the completion of the inaugural year of the house system and recognized the Amatz house as the first-ever winners of the house cup. Friday’s celebration honored the dedication and hard work of all houses, and during the celebration, Amatz was announced as the house cup champion.
“Katov, Hokmah, Zedak, and Amatz – you’ve been tasked with carrying out the challenge of modeling strength of character and exhibiting your house’s core values,” shares Samantha Hendrickson, house system coordinator. “Gratitude and humility, wisdom and integrity, justice and compassion, courage and resilience are values shared by us all. As we pray together, lead together, celebrate together, and strive to bring out the very best we have to offer, we remember that we are parts of one body in Christ, and we are always for each other.”

After Amatz was announced the winner of the house cup, students celebrated with games and cake on the quad.

Then, on Monday morning, the Amatz students and teachers hiked to the highest place on campus and began a new stone cairn to symbolize and celebrate their achievement, strength, and teamwork.

“This stone will lay the foundation for future leaders and the enduring legacy of the winning house,” explains Hendrickson.

Way to go, middle school students, and congratulations to the Amatz house!
