Middle and high school band students receive district and state honors
Congratulations to six high school band students and eight middle school band students who were recently recognized for their hard work and talent! After receiving nominations and enduring rigorous and highly competitive audition processes, students were selected for district honor band representing all schools in Gwinnett County, University of Georgia Midfest bands, and/or all state band representing all schools in Georgia.
The following students were honored:
Ellie Ahn- district band (1st chair), UGA Midfest honor band, all state band
Gavin Burns- district band, all state orchestra
Audrey Foster- district band (3rd chair), UGA Midfest honor band
Daniel Guo- district band
Logan Guyer- district band (1st chair), UGA Midfest band
Trent Hilton- district band (2nd chair)
Mike Hughes- UGA Midfest band
Jia Lim- district flute choir
Ryan McConnell- district band
Larry Men- district band (1st chair), UGA Midfest honor band, all state band
Brady O’Shields- district band (2nd chair), 1st alternate in all state band
Michelle Paik- district band (2nd chair), UGA Midfest honor band, all state band
Karina Thieriot- district band (14th chair), UGA Midfest honor band
Noah Walton- district band
